BUCKEYE, AZ – A male passenger was killed, and a female driver was injured in a rollover collision in Buckeye on Monday.
According to the Arizona Family, the crash happened on Interstate 10 East along Johnson Road. The Arizona Department of Public Safety said the motorist lost control of her Chevrolet SUV, which ultimately led it to overturn and come to rest in a right lane.
Officials shut down the eastbound lanes along Johnson Road for several hours before reopening the left eastbound lane at 7:40 p.m. and the right lane at 8 p.m.
DPS is working to determine whether impairment was a factor in the crash.
