PHOENIX, AZ – A man was killed in a crash involving a pickup truck that happened in the Maryvale neighborhood on Monday.
Phoenix Police told Arizona Family that the man was struck by a pickup truck in the area of 55th Avenue and Encanto Boulevard.
EMS crews rushed the man to a hospital for treatment of critical injuries, where he later died.
Police confirmed the driver stayed at the scene, but did not say whether he would face charges.
Police shut down 55th Avenue south of Encanto for the on-scene clean-up process and told drivers to avoid the area.
Police are working to determine the events leading up to the crash.
