PHOENIX, AZ – A man faces several charges in connection with a pursuit-turned-crash that happened in Phoenix on Sunday, AZFamily reveals.
The events unraveled around 1:40 a.m. Off the intersection of 27th Avenue and Bell Road, there was an altercation between a group of people that ended in one person getting cut by glass.
A suspect from that group fled the scene of that fight as Phoenix police officers pulled up to the scene. Police pursued the suspect’s vehicle and used spikes to try to stop him. His car came to rest when he eventually crashed his vehicle into another off North 16th Street and East Portland Street.
After the vehicles collided, the suspect attempted to flee the scene on foot but was apprehended and taken into custody.
First responders transported the suspect, two passengers from the second vehicle, and the victim of the fight to a hospital. Police said the victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, while the two others and the suspect were taken to the hospital as a precaution.
Officials did not specify the suspect’s charges nor publicly identify him.
