AVONDALE, AZ – Two Immigration and Customs Enforcement were hospitalized after a rear-end crash that happened around 8 a.m. Thursday.
KTAR said one driver had reportedly rear-ended a vehicle occupied by the two ICE agents. EMS crews transported the two officers to a hospital for treatment of injuries deemed non-life-threatening.
The driver and passenger who crashed into the vehicle with the ICE agents have shut themselves into a nearby home. By 3 p.m., they were said to have still remained inside the home.
Officials did not reveal the driver and passenger’s immigration status or said if they would face any charges.
The exact crash location was not disclosed.
