PHOENIX, AZ – A hit-and-run driver collided with a teen riding a miniature motorcycle on 7th St near Thunderbird Rd on March 22, according to 12 News.
A woman in her 50s with brown hair and wearing shorts was driving a red minivan when she pulled out of a private drive and struck a 17-year-old male riding the motorcycle with a group of friends around 7:20 p.m.
Rescue crews transported the boy to an area hospital with two broken legs and other serious injuries.
Following the crash, the woman exited the minivan to see what had happened. A witness confronted her, and she returned to the car and drove away.
Authorities are offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to the suspect’s arrest.
