TEMPE, AZ – According to AZFamily, a hit-and-run driver struck and killed a pedestrian near North Scottsdale Road and East McKellips Road Friday night.
The driver hit the victim around 11:30 p.m. The victim died in the crash.
Following the collision, the driver fled the scene.
Authorities located the suspect’s vehicle at 70th Place and Palm Lane.
The driver and passengers tried to flee on foot, but were apprehended.
Police arrested the driver and detained the passengers.
