News: Head-on crash kills 1, injures 2 in Glendale

GLENDALE, AZ – A man died, and two other adults went to the hospital after a head-on crash caused by an alleged DUI driver in Glendale Sunday morning, reports abc15 Arizona.

The incident happened just before 2 a.m. at the intersection of North 43rd Avenue and West Maryland Avenue, which is just west of West Plaza Park.

Police say that a southbound vehicle veered into the northbound lanes of North 43rd Avenue and collided head-on with a second vehicle.

The adult male driver of the second vehicle died at the scene of the crash.

A female passenger from the first vehicle sustained critical injuries, for which she was hospitalized.

Authorities arrested the driver of the first vehicle on charges of driving under the influence. He sustained non-critical injuries in the crash.

A full investigation is underway.
