News: Glendale collision leaves pregnant woman dead, 6 people injured

GLENDALE, AZ – A pregnant woman and her unborn child were killed and six other people were injured in a collision on Sunday evening.

According to AZ Family, a pickup truck was attempting to turn left near W. Northern Ave. and N. 67th Ave. when it hit a sedan head-on around 6:30 p.m.

Bridgette Lee Armijo, 34, was one of the people in the sedan. She was transported to a local hospital where she and her baby later died.

A man and three children from the sedan were also transported to a local hospital for minor injuries.

Two adults in the pickup truck were transported to a local hospital for non life-threatening injuries. A child was also a passenger in the pickup and was not injured.

Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
