MESA, AZ – One person died after a vehicle crashed and caught fire along the freeway in Mesa on Sunday afternoon, reports Arizona’s Family 3TV.
Police say the incident happened around 4:15 p.m. under the Broadway Road overpass for Loop 202, or the Red Mountain Freeway.
The cause of the accident is unclear, but authorities say a vehicle crashed into a wall under the overpass and ignited. One person became trapped in the vehicle and died from their injuries.
