News: Fiery crash kills 3 on US-93 in SW Yavapai Co.

YAVAPAI CO., AZ – Three people died Wednesday night when two cars collided head-on along the highway near Congress, reports abc15 Arizona.

The incident happened just before 10:30 p.m. on US-93 near milepost 178.

The preliminary investigation suggests that a northbound vehicle crashed head-on with a southbound vehicle while using the southbound lane for passing. The force of the collision caused the first vehicle to ignite, and the driver died at the scene.

The two occupants of the second car also died at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash.
