PHOENIX, AZ – According to 12 News, a driver fatally collided with a male pedestrian near N 33rd St and E McDowell Rd on Tuesday.
The driver hit Jose Sanchez Rodriguez, 50, as Rodriguez was crossing E McDowell St.
Rescue crews transported Rodriguez to an area hospital, where he died from his injuries.
Following the collision, the driver remained at the scene.
Authorities do not believe impairment was a factor in the collision.
The Phoenix Police Department is investigating the incident.
