PHOENIX, AZ – A motorcyclist died after colliding with a Jeep near N 22nd St and E Indian School Rd on Saturday, according to AZFamily.
A 53-year-old man was driving a Jeep when he tried to turn onto Indian School Rd and failed to yield the right of way to a motorcycle operated by Ansar Azim, 27, around 12:25 a.m.
Rescue crews transported the motorcyclist to an area hospital, where he died.
Following the collision, the driver remained at the scene.
Authorities are looking into whether impairment played a role in the collision and may charge the driver depending on the results of a toxicology report.
The Phoenix Police Department is investigating the incident.
