PHOENIX, AZ – According to 12 News, a driver collided with and hurt an off-duty Phoenix Police Department sergeant on southbound I-17 near Dunlap Rd Friday.
The driver hit the sergeant as the sergeant when he exited his vehicle to help a motorist whose vehicle had been disabled.
Rescue crews transported the sergeant to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
