News: Driver hurt, pedestrian killed in crash involving bee sting in Mesa

MESA, AZ – A driver was injured and a pedestrian died as a result of a crash that involved a bee sting in Mesa on Saturday. 

Mesa police told Fox10Phoenix that the collision happened after 9 a.m. at the intersection of North Mesa Drive and East McKellips Drive. A driver was stung by a bee, which caused them to lose control of their vehicle and crash into a pedestrian crossing the street and a nearby pole. 

EMS crews transported the driver and pedestrian to a hospital. There, the pedestrian died from their injuries.
