News: Driver ejected, injured in Maricopa Co. rollover crash

TEMPE, AZ – Medics transported a male adult to the hospital with severe injuries on Tuesday afternoon after his vehicle crashed long a roadway in Tempe, reports Fox 10 Phoenix.

Police say the incident happened around 4 p.m. in the area of Arizona State Route 101, or Price Freeway, and East Fremont Drive.

The investigation thus far indicates that a driver lost control of his vehicle after experiencing a flat tire, at which point he collided with the wall of the freeway. The car overturned, and the force of the collision threw the driver from the vehicle.

The driver went to the hospital with substantial trauma to the head.

No other injuries have been reported at this time.

A full investigation of the incident is underway.
