PHOENIX, AZ – According to 12 News, a driver who was eluding police hit another vehicle near the Costco parking lot located at N 33rd Ave and Grand Ave on Thursday.
Troopers tried to pull the driver of a Dodge pickup truck over on I-17 near Northern Ave, but the driver refused to stop. The driver left the freeway, and the trooper ended the pursuit.
Another trooper located the pickup truck in a Costco parking lot with the suspect still inside. The suspect left the parking lot and hit another vehicle on N 33rd Ave.
Rescue crews transported the suspect, his passenger, and the driver of the vehicle that was hit to an area hospital with minor injuries.
Once he is discharged, authorities will book the suspect into the Maricopa County jail. He has previous felony convictions and is facing charges regarding the incident.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash.
