News: Driver arrested for deadly rear-end crash involving semi-truck in Bapchucule 

BAPCHUCULE, AZ – The Arizona Department of Public Safety arrested a driver for causing a deadly rear-end crash involving a semi-truck in Bapchucule on Thursday.

AZ DPS told Arizona Family that the incident unfolded around 8:30 p.m. when a driver of a vehicle crashed into the back of a semi-truck, hauling a loaded box trailer on I-10 East.

The force of the collision led to the death of the vehicle passenger, while the vehicle driver suffered minor injuries. The semi-truck driver was uninjured.

AZ DPS arrested the vehicle driver and booked them into Pinal County Jail. At this time, troopers have not confirmed any pending charges for the driver.

Officials shut down the eastbound I-10 along Casa Blanca Road for several hours. Crews reopened all lanes by 6:15 a.m. on Friday.
