News: Child airlifted in single-vehicle Yuma crash

YUMA, AZ – Medics airlifted a child to the hospital early Sunday morning after a single-car collision at an intersection in Yuma, reports KYMA 11.

The incident happened near South Somerton Avenue and West 8th Street, which is near the University of Arizona Yuma Agricultural Center.

The investigation thus far indicates that a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee carrying four occupants veered from the roadway and collided with a pole.

A child occupant went to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

No other injuries have been reported.
