News: 2-vehicle crash kills 1 at 47th and Indian School Rd

PHOENIX, AZ – A 25-year-old woman died Saturday morning in a two-car collision at a busy intersection in northwest Phoenix, reports Arizona’s Family 3TV.

The incident happened near the intersection of North 47th Avenue and West Indian School Road, which is just southwest of Santa Fe Center.

The investigation indicates that the victim attempted to turn left at a red light from North 47th Avenue onto West Indian School Road when an eastbound vehicle struck her car, and she died at the scene.

Authorities identified the victim as Irene Lujan.

Police do not suspect impairment on the part of the other driver.
