PHOENIX, AZ – A boy lost his life to a fatal pedestrian collision that happened north of Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport on Monday.
The boy, who was walking, was struck while crossing the intersection of North 36th Street and McDowell Road, according to 12News.
EMS crews rushed the boy, who was initially in critical condition, to a hospital. There, he died from his injuries.
The driver remained at the scene. Police did not specify whether the driver would face charges as a result of the pedestrian collision.
Officers launched a full investigation and are working to determine whether speed or intoxication played a role in the crash.
