News: Bicyclist killed in crash with vehicle in NW Phoenix

PHOENIX, AZ – A bicyclist was killed Wednesday afternoon when he was struck by a vehicle in northwest Phoenix, CBS 5 reports.

48-year-old Andriya Shagawa was riding on 27th Avenue near Indian School Road when he was hit by a vehicle that was making the left turn.

Shagawa was rushed to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. It is unclear if that individual will face any charges at this time.
