News: AzDOT reopens I-17, Camelback Rd. after vehicle fire 

PHOENIX, AZ – The Arizona Department of Transportation has reopened the southbound I-17 and Camelback Road connector after a vehicle fire that happened before 3:30 p.m. 

The fire, which was initially reported by AzDOT at 3:21 p.m., was initially blocking the right lanes. It seems fire crews were able to extinguish the flames in less than 30 minutes. 

Authorities have not yet stated the exact cause of the fire or said if anyone was injured. 

New information will be added after the latest developments come to light.
