GILBERT, AZ – Arizona Department of Public Safety released the name of a pregnant woman who was killed in a rear-end crash last Friday.
This comes as an update in connection with our previous reporting. DPS said it was 27-year-old Hannah Gaaf Blazer, a Gilbert local, and her unborn child who were killed in the collision, AZ Family reports.
The Back Story
The incident happened before 3 p.m. on Loop 202 near Power Road. A driver of a work truck failed to slow down for traffic and rear-ended a vehicle, resulting in a chain-reaction crash involving four other vehicles.
Blazer, who was driving and rear-ended by the truck, lost control of her vehicle and crashed into a steep embankment.
Authorities shut down the westbound lanes before later reopening.
