News: Authorities take man in custody for fatal crash in Kaufman Broad At Desert Canyon

PHOENIX, AZ – According to AZFamily, authorities have arrested a man for allegedly causing a deadly high-speed cash at N 32nd St and E Behrend Dr on Feb. 17.

Police say Joshua Villalobos, 20, was driving a 2014 Dodge Charger at 88 mph in a 45 mph zone when he slammed into a 2020 Toyota Prius driver who was turning left onto N 32nd St from E Behrend Dr around 11:30 a.m.

First responders transported the Prius driver to an area hospital, where he died. Officials have not released the victim’s name.

Authorities have charged Villalobos with one count of reckless manslaughter. He was jailed and is being held on a $100,000 bond.
