News: Authorities arrest alleged impaired driver following crash near Homeland

PHOENIX, AZ – One person was hurt in a wreck caused by a suspected impaired driver near N 23rd Ave and W Camelback Rd on Sunday, according to CBS 5.

Rene Uriate, 42, collided with another vehicle around 1 a.m. Rescue crews transported a woman from the scene to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities arrested Uriate and charged him with extreme DUI and other charges.

The Phoenix Police Department is investigating the incident.
