News: At least 1 hurt in collision at I-17, Pinnacle Peak Rd. in Phoenix

PHOENIX, AZ – At least one person was injured in a collision that happened at the I-17 South and West Pinnacle Peak Road connector Thursday. 

The Arizona Department of Transportation first reported the crash at 4:28 p.m. and said it is currently blocking the right lane on the southbound portion of the interstate. 

AzDOT has not provided a time estimate regarding when the scene will clear. However, crews strongly urge commuters to use caution if they are traveling in this direction as they continue cleaning up debris from the crash and restore safe road conditions. 

The exact cause of the crash and the number of people and vehicles involved have not been confirmed. New details will be provided after our team learns more.
