MESA, AZ – Three people were hurt in a three-vehicle crash caused by a suspected impaired driver near N Alma School Rd and W University Dr on Saturday, according to AZFamily.
A driver was heading north on Alma School Rd around 10 p.m. when they ran a red light and struck a westbound vehicle on University Dr. They also hit a third vehicle waiting to turn left from Alma School Rd to University Dr.
The driver who ran the red light suffered a cut on their head. Two passengers from the second vehicle were hurt. One of them had serious injuries. The driver of the third vehicle was not injured in the collision.
Authorities believe the driver who ran the red light was impaired, and charges are pending for them.
