News: Alleged drunk driver fatally collides with pedestrian near La Pradera Park

PHOENIX, AZ – According to AZ Family, a suspected drunk driver struck and killed a pedestrian near N 43rd and W Glendale Avenue Saturday.

Matthew Rhoades, 47, hit Ricardo Martinez, 35, as Martinez crossed the street around 9:45 p.m.

Rescue crews transported Martinez to an area hospital, where he died.

Authorities determined Rhoades was impaired and arrested him for aggravated DUI.
