News: 2 teens hurt in wreck while fleeing from police in stolen car

PHOENIX, AZ – Two teens were hurt in a crash during a police pursuit near Butler Dr and 19th Ave Sunday, according to AZ Family.

The pursuit began when police located a stolen car near N 23rd Ave and W Northern Ave around 12:30 a.m. Authorities attempted to pull over the vehicle, but the teens drove away.

The teens drove at excessive speeds on Butler Dr before running a red light at 19th Ave and slamming into a wall, fence, and fire hydrant.

Rescue crews transported two teens from the vehicle to an area hospital. A third teen fled the area and has not been located.

The Phoenix Police Department is investigating the incident.
