PHOENIX, AZ – Six people were injured in a head-on collision that took place in the Maryvale neighborhood on Thursday, AZFamily reports.
The crash occurred near North 71st Avenue & McDowell Road. The vehicles appear to be a gray sedan and a white SUV, both of which sustained severe front-end damage.
First responders pulled up to the scene after 5 a.m.
EMS treated five people at the scene for their injuries, and transported a sixth person to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Officials shut down both directions of McDowell Road between 69th and 73rd Avenues for the scene-cleanup process and overall investigation.
