TEMPE, AZ – Five people were sent to a local hospital following a six-vehicle collision that happened on Loop 202 East along Phoenix Zoo Tuesday.
Fox 10 Phoenix said the crash occurred before 6:30 p.m. near Priest Drive. The impact of the crash left one person with life-threatening injuries.
Officials shut down several eastbound lanes so crews can clean up the scene and conduct the investigation.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety is actively working to determine the contributing factors that led to the crash.
