News: 4 in critical condition after downtown Phoenix crash

DOWNTOWN PHOENIX, AZ – One woman and three children had to go to a local hospital for treatment of critical injuries following a two-vehicle crash in downtown Phoenix Friday. 

The two-vehicle crash happened around 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of North 7th Avenue and West Van Buren Street, Fox10Phoenix reports. Video footage from the source reveals that the collision appeared to have been between a GMC Yukon vehicle and a hatchback car. 

The impact of the accident left a woman either trapped or pinned. Fire crews were able to extricate the woman from her vehicle prior to her and the three children being taken to a hospital for treatment. 

The circumstances leading up to the crash have not been made available. Phoenix police started an investigation. Updates will be added after our team learns more.
