News: 35-year-old woman killed in Mesa intersection accident

MESA, AZ – A 35-year-old woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash in an intersection near Gilbert Rd. and University Dr. around 3 p.m. on Sunday.

According to FOX10, 35-year-old Mario Galvan was traveling at high rates of speed in a Nissan Sentra when he crashed it into a metal pole. His wife, Kasey Galvan, was a passenger in the vehicle and pronounced dead at the crash scene.

Galvan was observed as impaired in the Field Sobriety Test and taken into custody. He has been arrested for manslaughter and currently being held in jail with a $250,000 bond.
