News: 2-vehicle crash kills 1 on 59th Ave SB in Glendale

GLENDALE, AZ – Authorities have not yet released the identity of a man who died in a two-car collision Wednesday afternoon in Glendale, reports Arizona’s Family 3TV.

The incident happened around 3 p.m. on the southbound side of North 59th Avenue near West Frier Drive, which is just south of the Valley of Phoenix Scottish Rite.

The investigation thus far indicates that a southbound car and a pickup truck sideswiped each other on 59th Avenue. The force of the crash caused the driver of the pickup truck to lose control and crash into a concrete barrier.

Medics transported the driver of the pickup truck to the hospital, where he later died.

The other driver did not sustain injuries in the crash.

A full investigation of the accident is underway.
