News: 2-vehicle crash kills 1 in North Phoenix

PHOENIX, AZ – A 72-year-old woman died after her vehicle collided with another car at an intersection in North Phoenix on Tuesday morning, reports 12 News.

Police say the incident happened sometime before 9:23 a.m. near the intersection of North 43rd Avenue and Bell Road.

Authorities have not commented on the circumstances of the crash except to say that it involved two vehicles and resulted in the hospitalization and death of one of the drivers.

The victim, identified as Deborah Connel, died after transport to a local hospital.

The other driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police. It is unclear if they were hurt in the accident.
