GREEN VALLEY, AZ – A 26-year-old woman died Wednesday when her vehicle collided head-on with an 18-wheeler on a busy roadway in Green Valley, reports KOLD News 13.
The incident happened just after 7 a.m. on Duval Mine Road west of North La Cañada Drive. which is also just west of I-19.
Police say a southbound sedan veered into the northbound lane of Duval Mine Road and collided head-on with a semi-truck.
The driver of the sedan, identified as Nicolette Hendrickson, died after transport to a local hospital.
It is unclear if the driver of the semi-truck sustained injuries in the accident.
A full investigation is underway.
