News: 2 injured in 3-car crash involving Phoenix officer

PHOENIX, AZ – A Phoenix police officer and one other person went to the hospital after three cars collided Monday morning at a Phoenix intersection, reports abc15 Arizona.

The incident occurred just before 4:30 a.m. in the area of North 19th Avenue and West Northern Avenue, which is just west of Rio Salado College Northern.

Police have not shared details about how the crash happened. The police vehicle sustained substantial damage to its front end.

The police officer and a second person involved in the crash sustained non-critical injuries.

A full investigation concerning the cause of the crash is underway.
