News: 1 killed, 4 injured in WB I-10 ramp crash in Avondale

AVONDALE, AZ – One person was killed and four injured in a crash on a ramp to WB I-10 near 99th Ave on Tuesday.

According to FOX10, a car was heading south on 99th Ave. at a high rate of speeds when it struck another car that was turning left onto the WB I-10 ramp.

A female passenger in the car that was struck was ejected from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the crash scene. Two adults in the vehicle were transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. There were also two children in the vehicle who were transported to Phoenix Children’s Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the vehicle that was traveling on 99th Ave. was not seriously injured. It is unclear if they sustained any injuries.

Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing, but local authorities do not suspect impairment.
