PHOENIX, AZ – One person died, and another person was injured in a multi-vehicle collision on Tuesday, Fox10Phoenix reports.
The crash occurred at 8:45 a.m. on the westbound Loop 202. A motorcyclist was pinned underneath a van after colliding with it and six other vehicles.
Fire crews extricated the motorcyclist and sent them and their passenger to a hospital, where they later died.
Authorities blocked several lanes of traffic and the 40th Street on-ramp for the scene clearance and investigation process.
