PHOENIX, AZ – A female hit-and-run suspect was arrested for DUI after causing a crash that sent a Phoenix police officer to the hospital Friday.
The collision occurred before 1:00 a.m. near North 7th Avenue and West Indian School Road, according to KTAR. The woman struck a police officer with her vehicle, did not render aid, and immediately fled the scene.
Phoenix police were able to track down the suspect and took her into custody without incident. At the time of the reporting, she was processed for DUI and was going to be booked into jail.
The officer is recovering from minor injuries.
