News: Motorcyclist seriously injured in accident on Loop 202 ramp in East Valley

MESA, AZ – Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers were dispatched to a motorcycle accident in the East Valley on Monday morning.

According to an AZFamily report, the crash took place on the southbound Loop 202 transition ramp from the eastbound U.S. 60.  State troopers learned that a motorcyclist was trying to avoid a vehicle that was changing lanes on the highway at about 5:30 a.m.  The rider lost control of the bike, crashed, and was found in the roadway when troopers arrived.  He was rushed to an area hospital for treatment.

The transition ramp from Loop 202 to U.S. 60 was shut down while the scene was being cleared and investigated.
