Early-morning crash in west Phoenix kills motorcyclist

PHOENIX, TX – A motorcyclist was killed in a multi-vehicle crash in west Phoenix early Sunday.

According to a report by CBS 5, the crash occurred at the intersection of 43rd Avenue and Indian School Road at about 5:30 a.m.

Investigators say a vehicle was northbound on 43rd Avenue when the driver made a left turn onto a private drive and struck the motorcyclist.

The rider, 62-year-old Victor Quibas, was rushed to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries later on.

The driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene. It is unclear whether she will be charged or cited in connection to the crash.
