News: Banner Health working to ID man seriously hurt in Jan. 2026 crash

PHOENIX, AZ – Banner Health is working to identify a man who was seriously hurt in a crash that happened on January 12, 2026.

Banner Health told AZ Family that he is a Hispanic man in his 20s, who carried no form of identification or other items that could help establish his identity. He has a tattoo of singer Rihanna on what appears to be his left arm, another tattoo that says “One Life, One Chance,”, and another of what appears to be a large open pocket watch. He was left with serious brain injuries.

Now, they’re asking the public’s help in identifying the man.

The Backstory: The unidentified man was struck by a vehicle around 5 a.m. in the area of 27th Avenue and Buckeye Road. The driver stayed at the scene, but it’s unclear if they will face charges.
