GILBERT, AZ – A woman’s life was claimed in a multi-vehicle collision involving a commercial truck on U.S. 60 on Wednesday, Fox10Phoenix said.
The incident unfolded after 9 a.m. when a woman, driving a Jeep SUV, crashed into the back of a commercial vehicle.
The woman then exited her vehicle and was struck by an oncoming Dodge pickup truck.
The woman died from her injuries a short time later.
No injuries were reported for the pickup truck driver or commercial vehicle motorist.
Arizona Department of Public Safety confirmed the pickup truck driver stayed at the scene, but did not say whether the commercial driver stayed at the scene, or if both motorists could face charges.
Officials have not disclosed the victim’s name.
