SCOTTSDALE, AZ – A bicyclist sustained life-threatening injuries in a bicycle-vehicle crash that happened before 2 a.m. on Wednesday at North 75th Avenue & West Indian School Road.
Scottsdale Police told AZ Family that the cyclist proceeded through a red light and collided with a car.
EMS crews transported the cyclist to a hospital for treatment.
Police said the driver stayed at the scene and conducted a field sobriety test on them. Police confirmed the driver was not impaired and does not believe they were speeding at the time of the collision.
No charges appear to have been filed against the driver.
Officials shut down the westbound lanes and reopened the area around 7 a.m.
