News: Woman seriously injured in Phoenix intersection collision

PHOENIX, AZ – A woman sustained serious injuries after being thrown under a pickup truck at the intersection of S. 43rd Ave. and W. Lower Buckeye Rd. on Wednesday morning.

A woman got out of a pickup truck for unknown reasons when it was stopped at a red light around 11:15 a.m., according to AZ Family. When she began to walk away the pickup truck sped through the intersection where it was hit by a semi-dump truck. It is unclear why the pickup truck sped away. The impact of the crashed caused the woman to be thrown under the pickup.

Investigations into the cause of the accident are ongoing.
