PHOENIX, AZ – A woman was sent to the hospital after getting hit by a vehicle in the area of 24th Street and McDowell Road on Tuesday.
The pedestrian collision occurred around 5:00 a.m., AZ Family said. The woman sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the emergency room. After officials arrived, they shut down 24th Street in both directions from McDowell to Palm Lane for the scene clearance process.
Drivers were asked to take 32nd Street or SR-51 as alternative routes.
The exact cause of the crash is under investigation.
