PHOENIX, AZ – According to 12 News, a woman fatally collided with a male pedestrian near 31st Ave and Thunderbird Rd Saturday.
Marceliano Herrera, 29, was holding onto the passenger door handle of his girlfriend’s car when she tried to drive away. Herrera then fell over and was run over by the woman.
Following the collision, the woman called 911 and remained at the scene. She rendered aid to Herrera until first responders arrived at the scene.
Authorities do not believe impairment was a factor in the incident and released the woman from police custody.
