PHOENIX, AZ – According to AZFamily, a woman died 15 days after a three-vehicle collision near N 39th Ave and W Monte Vista Rd on Aug. 23.
Marisa Zermeno, 25, was driving north on N 39th Ave when a westbound vehicle turned left and hit her car around 2 p.m.
The collision spun Zermeno’s car, causing it to collide with another vehicle and roll multiple times.
Paramedics transported Zermeno and a child passenger to an area hospital in critical condition. The child suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Zermeno died on Sept. 7.
Rescue crews also transported the woman who hit Zermeno to an area hospital. The man driving the other vehicle was not hurt in the collision.
The Phoenix Police Department is investigating the incident.
