PHOENIX, AZ – A 24-year-old woman lost her life to a hit-and-run collision that happened at the intersection of 19th Avenue and Broadway Road Sunday.
Phoenix police pulled up to the scene before midnight and declared the woman dead at the scene, according to 12News. EMS crews arrived a short time later and transported the woman to a hospital, where she later died.
Authorities have since identified the woman as Angel Benkelman.
Police are actively working to determine what the suspect and their vehicle looked like.
